It is intense practice. It's hard to win the competition without such a intensive mock test.
Hiring Teachers and Teaching Assistants
If you have teaching experience for Math/English/Science, Please send your resume to us.
Alltop School will control the teaching guidelines, and provide teaching materials.
Remote Class Access
We provide remote access to our live session of classes. If you are in other states or you live far away from our school,
the remote access is the best way to attend our lesson.
Currently we have students from the following states or cities remotely accessing to our classes: Other states: Maryland, Florida, California, New York, South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama ... Local: Marietta, Mcdonough City, Peachtree City, ...
Step 2: Once you submit the above
registration form, you will automatically receive an email. In the
email, new students will be asked to take an assessment test. The email will
provide login information, including website, user name and temporary
password. After the student logs in, please upload the profile picture as
required, change the password, and then you can see the test. The test is
usually one hour long. Once clicked, the exam will start immediately, and the
timer will start. If the student does not finish within one hour, the system
will automatically submit the answer sheet.
Step 3: You will receive another email, which
tells you which course the student should take based on the assessment
results. The email will tell you the schedule and starting date of the
class, tuition standard, payment requirements, payment guidance, etc.
Step 4: Pay the tuition fee as required, and we
will add the course to the student's account. You will receive emails for a
tuition receipt and a welcome message with some instructions.
If you do not receive the
email, please check your Junk/Spam Folder.
No, please call us if you forget the information.
No, we have his ( her ) study record, and we will arrange into
an appropriate lesson. If you have questions, please give us a call.
Our assessment is to test what
the student has already learned, not what he ( she ) will
learn.
We evaluate the students according to national standards. Because the curriculum standards
of different schools and counties are different. If
he ( she ) can complete the test questions independently
and get more than 80% correct, we can consider giving
him ( her ) another test for a higher grade.
Class Schedule
Unfortunately not,
because there is only one time period for each level.
If the student's assessment
test score exceeds 50%, you can discuss with us to see if the student can
be promoted to the class of a higher level. If the student's assessment
test is below 20%, see if it is possible to lower the level of the class.
Yes, for example, if you are
scheduled to go to Friday 5:15pm-7:15pm, then your child will continue to attend
the lesson at this time, from the fourth grade to the fifth grade, sixth grade,
seventh grade, Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Precalculus,
all the way to AP Calculus. That means, as the course goes on, the content
will be automatically upgraded without changing the time schedule.
As stated in the previous
question, your child will continue in this time period, from fifth grade to
sixth grade, seventh grade, Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Precalculus,
AP Calculus. As the course progresses, the
content will be automatically upgraded without having to change shifts and
time.
Tuition is paid every 12 times,
but the courses are always moving forward. After twelve times of lessons,
your child will remain in the class unless you are no longer
interested. The class continues from this level until we finish all the
courses including high school AP class. The cycle of tuition is not the
same as the lesson.
Our grade level is based on the
national standard. Even for the fifth grade class, the learning standard may be
equivalent to the seventh or eighth grade in some schools. We group the classes
according to the level of the students.
Our assessment tests have
clearly shown the actual level of the students. We don't want to put a
student in a class that makes him (her) feel too easy to learn, and
we should not put him (her) in a class that makes him ( her ) too difficult.
Yes, but please discuss it with
our teacher, because the teacher knows your child's level and gives your
advice.
Not true. The purpose you
send your kid to us is to improve his (her) logic thinking skill,
problem-solving ability, in-depth learning concepts, and improvement of overall
math skills, so that he (she) can easily be adapt to any new topic
and new subject. In fact, it doesn't matter what content or concept a
student learns in school, the most important thing is that he (she) builds
a solid foundation and learned some fundamental problem-solving
skills. With the solid foundation built up, he (she) will not
have any problems in school math learning.
Yes, but if he (she) is
a student below the ninth grade, he or she should follow our suggestion.
Because we determine the placement
based on the evaluation test results, there is no problem if he (she) is
put into the class in the middle since he (she) already has the knowledge
for the content that he (she) missed in our lessons.
Our assignment is an in-depth
and comprehensive exercise, the purpose is to let students master the basic
concepts, understand problem-solving methods and improve their problem-solving
skills from different levels and types of questions. Our homework has
three levels of questions: low, middle and high. It is normal for him
(her) to have some questions that he (she) cannot solve. If he (she) can
do more than 40% correctly every time, it means that his (her) basic concepts
and skills are okay, and he (she) can continue to follow the lessons. If
he (she) occasionally does poorly, there should be various factors,
so don't panic. If he (she) can only do less than 10% right
every time, you can consider letting him (her) go to an easier class
since he (she) still has more fundamental knowledge to catch up. You
can give us a call to discuss about the re-placement.
Some chapters are relatively
easy, if only this chapter he (she) did well, we still can't conclude
yet. If he (she) feels easy in different chapters in a row, then
he (she) should be advanced to the next level of class. Please
give us a call to discuss for the re-placement.
Our Teaching System
Our teaching system is a rich
and flexible system. Not limited by time, not limited by distance. The
dynamic on-screen diagrams and demonstration make boring topic interesting. The
well-designed Power Point presentation, and the
dynamic selecting examples from question bank creates an environment that has
better effectiveness than in-person classroom. The powerful system is the product
from Alltop School's 20 years of experience and the
mature learning environment and models. Many tasks can be done with one click.
Any mobile phone, tablet or computer can allow students to access the homework
page and live-stream class. The students' homework is assigned on time, and
it is graded with instant feedback and scoring, and automatic report of
errors. The teacher can view the statistical reports at different levels
and detailed homework error summaries. In the lesson, there is no waste of
a second, the difficult problems are explained in detail, and the students' common
mistakes are corrected in time. This system is unique in the world, and it
is deep, accurate and intelligent. At the same time, we record the class videos,
and students can play back after class to fill any gaps and ensure comprehensive
coverage and thorough understanding. The system is a highly optimized
intelligent teaching environment.
How the lessons work?
Each lesson is taught for two
hours per week. During class, the teacher will do the following:
1) If there are new concepts, the
teacher will introduce the concepts and teach students how to answer related
questions through examples. The teacher will explain three new things: new
concepts, new methods, and new problem types.
2) If you are reviewing the content
of the same chapter, the teacher will explain it in order according to the difficulty
level of the homework fromthe report. During the explanation process, concepts will be
consolidated, the method for solving the problems will be emphasized, and related
strategies will be taught and summarized.
3) The teacher will ask some students
who have answered correctly, so that the teacher and other students understand his
ideas.
4) The teacher will ask some students
who can't do it or make mistakes for the problem, so that the other students
learn the mistakes, so as to strengthen the related concepts.
No. As mentioned in the
previous question, if there is no new concepts in the next
practice, the teacher will focus on the current homework explanation, analysis,
and teach them how to apply the concepts they have learned and how to solve
problems. If the next homework has new concepts, this class will focus on
teaching them the new topic by a detailed presentation or giving them examples.
If he (she) can
understand most of the questions explained, he (she) has already made
great progress. Due to time constraints, it is impossible to answer every
question during the two hours. If a student can digest the content
explained by the teacher every week, he (she) will continue to
improve.
In addition, we intentionally provide many
questions, so that students have the opportunity to get exposure to full and
in-depth practice, and some of them will be challenging.
If there are repeated questions that you
can't do, you can also send us an email, and the teacher will try to answer
when he becomes free.
We have many ordinary classes
with different levels. In our school, competition subjects only account for
10%, so most students study in regular classes.
Yes. According to our
survey, most of students feel much better online than in person. Our own
software makes the online learning experience unique and interesting for
students. Over the past three years our students have given very positive
comments for taking online classes. We have conducted a survey, and more
than 90% of students and parents request to continue to stay online.
Here are a few advantages:
1) Save a lot of time for students
and parents.
2) Give parents a chance to
conveniently supervise teachers and their children. Our teachers are all
equipped with large screen monitors, and every movement of the students is
within the teacher's sight, which is actually easier to supervise clearly than
in a physical classroom.
3) Online teaching, there is no
discipline problem, the teachers do not spend extra time to maintain order.
4) The teacher can dynamically open materials,
examples, and Power Point on the computer at any time, without
spending time writing on the blackboard, and the teacher can quickly draw
pictures, highlight, etc. through the software, which greatly improves the
efficiency.
5) Students can share the
screen to show their ideas and solutions, which is clearer than showing on
the blackboard in the classroom.
6) We can record the whole class, and
students can play back even if they are absent from class, without missing any
content. If students do not fully understand in class, they can also apply
for video recording and play back the class content as many times as they want.
It is more difficult to record offline
classes, and there are many interference factors.
So please don't use general online lessons
to define our online teaching, once you take our lessons, we guarantee you will
come to different conclusions.
As long as you log in to their
account, they will find the Zoom Link and other relevant information.

Material
We have our own teaching
materials. For each chapter, teachers have complete Power Point,
including concept introduction, concept development, sample questions,
problem-solving methods and strategies, difficulty analysis, etc.
Students will immediately see new
assignments in their accounts after each class. The amount of homework
is about 50 questions, which are classified as easy, middle and challenging
questions. Homework is used to consolidate concepts, train thinking, and
master basic knowledge and basic skills.
Homework questions are hierarchical,
changeable, flexible and diverse, and easy to understand. Students can
gradually improve their problem-solving ability through different types of
problems assigned.
We adopt national syllabus and
requirements. Our chapter order may be different than your school's, but it's all the topics students
must learn before they graduate high school. Because the syllabus of each
school and each county is different, it is the best way to adopt the national
standard.
What we teach is the national common
requirement for mathematics. We teach the basic concepts and method of
solving problems. If a student does not solve problems according to these methods,
it only means that he (she) needs more training to make him or her better
understand the concepts and strategies.
Of course, we will teach
students many problem-solving strategies and techniques to simplify complex
problems, which is also the process of cultivating them to improve basic
skills.
Our materials are all electronic. We
teach the detailed content of each chapter in the classroom, and then students
learn in depth through a large number of question-type exercises to improve
their abilities. The homework itself is the key part. You can never
learn math by only memorizing concepts, and you really improve yourself through
practice.
Homework
On average, there are about 50 questions each time. If the overall task
is relatively easy, there will be more than 60 or even 70 questions in the homework. If the
homework is more difficult, the number of questions will become 30 to 40.
The amount of time each student spends
will vary, some may only take one to two hours, while
others may take more than five hours. New students may take a little
longer.
Before the next class.
No. For multiple-choice questions,
students have two chances to submit. For free formed questions, students
have five chances. This is much better than answering questions on paper. One
set of exercises with multiple attempts makes the practice very efficient.
Homework is automatically graded. Once
the students submit their answers, the system will automatically give a correct
or incorrect feedback, tick or cross. For the wrong questions, students
can give a thought again. Think about the way that the problems are assigned on
paper traditionally, you have to wait for the teacher to send back the homework
to find out which ones are incorrect. There are not many opportunities to
correct the answers on paper, so it is not efficient to learn that way. On
the contrary, our homework system has greatly improved the efficiency of the
students' learning.
Three weeks. Answer key will be
posted two weeks after it is assigned.
Our homework is dynamically
generated every week according to the level of the students in the class. There
is no printed version.
At the top of the homework page,
there is a "How to Enter Answers" button, which students
can click to get a web page with detailed sample answers.
We didn't say that you can't
help them with their homework, but we just suggest not to
help them with new homework. On the student's homework page, you
will see three assignments of homework, the top one is the latest homework,
please let the students complete it independently, so that the teacher will
know how much the students have really mastered, and the teacher will get an
accurate report. The homework in the middle of the list is what the
teacher has already explained in class, and parents can feel free to help
them. The bottom homework on the list has answer keys shown with it, and
students can compare their mistakes with the answer key.
If you help children
with newly assigned homework, not only will the teacher not get an accurate report,
but your method may not be consistent with our requirements.
In addition, if you help
him (her) to solve the problem every time, he (she will heavily rely on you as a habit in the
future.
In conclusion, you can help
him (her) with old homework, not help him (her) with newly
assigned homework.
In fact, every child will feel some
difficulties at the beginning. Because we teach according to the national
syllabus, it is higher than the requirements of the state and your
school level. We don't
want parents who have paid tuition to send their children here to learn nothing
and make no progress. We want the students to be trained in accordance
with the requirements of the standard, so that they can get a full range in-depth
practice.
No. Only the questions in
the competition class are the type of questions required by the
competition. Regular mathematics lessons are all assigning questions with
basic concept and basic skills, and they are all consolidated reviews of fundamental
concepts. Although there are variations in problem types, it is just to
let students understand the concepts from different angles. If your child
thinks it is too challenging for the homework problems, there may be the
following reasons: 1. Maybe his (her) foundation is weak,
and he or she may need to move a lower class to make up for the
foundation. 2. Maybe he (she) lacks training, and only if
he (she) persists in training, he (she) will gradually feel easier.
Our practice is not just to
let students know a few names of the concepts, but to let them deeply understand
concepts from various angles, so as to grasp the concepts in
depth. Without practice in depth and breadth, they will leave many
problems in the future, and even still have troubles during their college study.
Scan or take a photo of the
student's answer sheet, upload it to the account through the
"Upload Homework" link in the student account, and the teacher can
review it.
If the student answers less than
five questions, you will receive this notification.
Please send an
email to request for an extension, please
indicate the student's name and the day of the homework.
Please call us immediately, we can reset the exam paper so that he (she) can
do it again. Sending an email or text message will not get an
immediate reply.
Class Videos
We provide all classroom videos for
playback.
There is a Tab in the
student account: Videos, just click to see it. We will not send it through an email.
Two weeks.
Generally there is no problem, unless there is network blocking.
Please contact us when you come
back, or send an email directly to ask for an extension of the
recording.
Teachers
The mathematics teachers are Dr.
Chen, and a teacher who graduated from Harvard University, and a teacher who
graduated from the United States with a Ph.D. in mathematics and ever graduated
from the Department of Mathematics of the University of Science and Technology
of China. The English teachers are an English teacher from a private
school, and a teacher who graduated from Harvard University, and a student from
Stanford University. Mathematics basic courses and competition courses are
currently taught by Dr. Chen.
Class Size
Generally, there are more
than 10 students, and it varies with grades. However, online class
sizes shouldn't make much of a difference. In each lesson, the teacher
plays the main role, explaining the problems and teaching the students concepts
and examples. Teachers can select students to answer questions based on
test reports, but it will help the class understand the answers or understand
the mistakes. So the result is not impacted by class size.
Of course you can. During
class, students can raise their hands to tell the teacher that they did not
understand, or request the teacher to explain the questions which have not been
answered.
Tuition
and Policies
Once your child has completed
the assessment test, we will send you an email with details of the
tuition fee, because the tuition fee for each course is different.
If you still have further
question, you can give us a call.
We don't offer try-out classes. But
if you insist on the trial lesson, we will charge the tuition fee of the trial
class at double the price of one class.
If you register for math class
and English class at the same time, you can get a one-time discount of $50
for English class tuition.
Even if a student is absent,
he (she) can still get the complete class video, and he (she) can
play it back at any time when he (she) is free. Homework is also open, and
occasional absences from class will not be affected. When the student is
absent from class due to his own reasons, the tuition fee will still be
charged without credit.
We rarely change classes
temporarily, unless the teacher is sick or there is an emergency. In this
case, we will provide each absent student with a full class video to ensure
that students do not miss anything.
Our classes will go forward all
the time, you only need to renew the tuition for the
next 12 lessons. There are no changes to classes or schedules.
We have a non-refund policy and
cannot refund the remaining tuition fees. If it is a special case, it can
be considered as a School Credit for future use. But it must be
used within one year. Tuition may be transferred to new students, but not
to current students enrolled in our school.
We will have holidays every year
on major holidays, such as Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Year's
Day. You can see updates at the calendar link below. Holidays are not
included in tuition fees payment.
We accept Zelle transfers. It is easy for each bank to set
up Zelle through their own
account without fees. The link below is a guide to paid information:
