In March, MATHCOUNTS competitions were held across various chapters in Georgia. According to incomplete statistics, twenty-seven students trained at our school qualified for the State Finals, all ranking among the top five in their respective city chapters.
In the State Finals held on March 9th, through two intense rounds of written competition, Jelena Dong achieved the remarkable rank of 1st Place in the state and will represent Georgia at the National Finals. Additionally, 5 other students achieved top 10 rankings in this prestigious state-level competition.
Among these finalists, Prayag Kalaria and Vibbu Kallu have studied at Alltop School for four years, while Lyen Dong has been with us for three years. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to these students for their outstanding performance. Remarkably, these students attend only two hours of classes per week at our school. Their success within such limited training time demonstrates the power of our precise pedagogical approach and the solid foundation built through our core mathematics programs.
Jelena Dong joined Alltop School in the 4th grade. She possesses remarkable concentration and independent thinking skills. Over the years, her consistent dedication to completing training assignments has built a rock-solid mathematical foundation. Her success is not a coincidence but the result of long-term persistence and the unwavering support of her parents. Her parents sent us a thank-you email immediately following the competition, stating: "Thank you for the solid foundation you built for her and for your constant encouragement over the years. She truly would not have reached this milestone without your guidance."
Prayag began his journey at Alltop School in the 3rd grade, starting with fundamental skill training. He has always been attentive in class, focusing on every difficult point and exploring multiple solutions. Under Dr. Chen's advice, Prayag spent the past year taking both the core math foundations course and the Mathcounts competition class, ensuring a comprehensive mastery of all topics. This dual-track approach enabled him to be the top 5 winner in the state competition.
This year's Mathcounts results represent another milestone in Alltop School's professional competition training. We are proud to be the only after-school program in Georgia consistently producing such a high percentage of State Finalists. Over the past 17 years, our students have dominated the top 10 state rankings, earning widespread acclaim across the Greater Atlanta area.
To date, 89 Alltop School students have achieved State Top 10 honors, and 39 students have qualified for the National Finals! This record stands as a benchmark for math competition training in Georgia.
Mathcounts is the largest middle school math competition in the U.S., requiring a mastery of diverse topics and complex problem-solving techniques. In Georgia, with nearly 300,000 public and private middle school students, qualifying for the State Finals is an elite achievement. Our students' continued success highlights Alltop School's superior teaching methods and systematic training architecture.
At Alltop School, our competition students represent only about 10% of our total enrollment, yet they contribute over 90% of our award-winning results. This "quality over quantity" outcome stems from our commitment to world-class instruction and scientific training methods.
Dr. Chen's philosophy of "simplifying the complex" empowers students to tackle challenging problems with confidence. Through precise guidance, personalized training, and the use of our proprietary intelligent learning systems, we help students achieve their maximum potential.
If you wish to build a solid mathematical foundation for your child and open the door to excellence, Alltop School is your most trusted choice.
